That pretty much sums up our trip to Belgium....Wizzfest was an awesome success for all concerned and we are gutted to be back to normal life!!
We started on a snowy trip to Swindon where we had a great night with fellow dudes Fury UK - big thanks to dave there who is a sound guy in every respect - before heading down to Dover the following morning for the ferry! Not suprisingly we got pulled over and checked by security but they let us through without problems....probably because our roadie Aaron wasnt with us on this occasion and we had no quarantine issues to sort!
It was always going to be an interesting weekend when some schoolgirls randomly asked for our photographs while on board...im not sure who they thought we were but I can only assume they didnt mistake Nightvision and Fury UK for the cast of high school musical and were just curious!
Belgium itself is awesome....they sell proper crates of beer, have awesome houses, speak english (thanks god
and are extremely accomadating, none more so than event organiser Wizz himself and his family who really made us feel welcome! Thankyou guys!Wizzfest was so well organised, the stage was superb, backstage was well staffed, they provided us with a good meal and some beer and all the bands were awesome, good to meet all of you!
Hopefully we will be back on the continent again later in the year, maybe we wont come back...or at least this time we will stay a while longer!!
Great memories made in such a short time, we made tunes with half empty beer bottles, had some samurai sauce, watched sagar be sick and sang loudly to tenacious d among many many other things.......keep your eyes open for pictures and dvd footage coming soon!
